LUCAS VAN WEES


President, The European Association for People Management (EAPM)

 

Drs L.L.G.M. Lucas van Wees MBA MBT holds an B.Sc in Tourism & Leisure (Breda) and Masters in Social Sciences (Tilburg), Telecommunications (Delft) and Business (IMD, Lausanne). He worked for Philips, Shell, KPN in HR, management and commercial jobs. Since 2001 he was Vice President HR Commercial and Global for KLM which merged mid 2004 with Air France. In 2016 he became the Director HRM for the University of Amsterdam, the largest University in the Netherlands listed in the top 200 Universities of the world. Van Wees was co-author or editor for four books and published various (international) articles a.o. for Personnel Journal, the International Journal of Career Management and the Journal of Management Development. His contribution to a European book, describing HR practices in 13 European countries, was published by Routledge, Taylor & Francis (ISBN 978-0-415-44761-4). Amongst others, he has been Member of the Board of the Dutch Association of Personnel Management (NVP) and was in October 2017 elected as President of the European Association for People Management (EAPM) which is the 'umbrella' for over 30 national HR associations in Europe representing 250000 HR professionals in Europe.

JÁN URIGA

Ján Uriga got his PhD. at the Institute of Experimental Psychology at the Slovak Academy of Science, where he researched and applied social intelligence and leaders’ decision making processes. Since 2003 until 2009 he worked as HR manager in public administration and multinational corporations. Since 2010 he’s been involved in consulting projects in the field of strategic change management, innovations, leadership and corporate culture. He teaches as an external lecturer at FSEV and leads the MBA module of change management and innovations for the automotive sector in cooperation with the Vienna University of Technology. Since 2018 he’s been leading the Experience Centre in Prague, which focuses on innovations in the field of customer and employee experience through digital solutions.

PETER DOSEDLA

Peter has been working as an interpreter and consultant for foreign companies during his university studies of Management and Foreign Trade. After graduation, he worked as executive director for the foreign import company. He decided to continue in the study and he graduated from the International School of Management Slovakia. Over the past 15 years, he has been focusing on HR, personal and manufacturing outsourcing and production processes optimization. Peter is the co-founder of the EXPRESS PEOPLE agency, which becomes a part of Manuvia Group, the current company leader in personal leasing in the Czech and Slovak Republics. Peter is currently CEO in Manuvia and he is responsible for operations and business development for the CEE region. Peter is the President of the HR Alliance of the Slovak Republic and he is a member of the Union of Electrotechnical Industry of the Slovak Republic and HRcomm - Human Resources Management and Development Association. Peter is a member of the Presidium of the National Union of Employers. He actively contributes to the to the dialogues about the mobility of labor force and an employment stability. He is a regular speaker and commentator in various workshops, conferences and events, including international as Hannover Messe or the European Automotive Leaders Summit. He cooperates with the Faculty of Public Administration P.J.Šafárik University in Košice as a lecturer.

KAMILA PUDIŠOVÁ

Kamila is a General Manager at TMF Services Slovakia s.r.o. (TMF Group) . TMF Group is a multinational professional services company, providing mainly accounting, tax, HR and payroll and corporate secretarial services to businesses operating on an international scale. Her successful career in TMF started in 2001 after graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. At present, Kamila is responsible for local service delivery, upholds service quality, drives operational office efficiency, builds strong client relationships, identifies and converts new business opportunities. Kamila’s work and life has been always affected by her professional basketball career (she took part at the World Women´s basketball Championships in 1994 in Sydney). Also thanks to sport, she gained extensive experience on steering her team to achieve the desired goals, to strive for success and to overcome all the obstacles. Whether it is related to her family, her two amazing daughters or her ordinary working day in TMF, Kamila tries to put an extra effort to everything she does to see the results afterwards. KATARÍNA MATULNÍKOVÁ


Senior Counsel, Allen & Overy

 

Katarína works as Counsel in the Slovak branch of the multinational law firm Allen & Overy and is the head of the labor law department. Katarína advises employers on various labor law issues on regular basis, both in dispute and non-dispute matters. She has extensive experience in labor law restructuring, sending employees abroad, staff transfers and employment termination (including mass layoffs). She is also experienced in designing/modification of internal regulations (labor rules), employment and management contracts. She provides advice also on incentive programs and employee benefits, labor law aspects of acquisitions and personal data protection. Katarína is a member of the AmCham’s Board for Labor and Social Affairs. She hosts regular seminars for clients and speaks at conferences covering labor law topics.


 

 

 

 

 

RENÁTA HALL


Project Director Learning make sense

 

Renáta has 20 years of experience working on higher education (HE) policy, and more recently on education policies in general. She is currently managing the "Learning Makes Sense" project at MESA10. In May 2016, she defended her PhD thesis at the Central European University in Budapest, entitled "Transition legacies, rules of appropriateness and ‘modernization agenda’ translation in higher education governance in Lithuania, Romania and Slovakia" and was awarded magna cum laude. During 2010-2012, Renáta served as an advisor on education to Slovakia’s Prime Minister Iveta Radičová. Prior to that she worked in the Slovak Governance Institute, where she delivered several research projects on HE in Slovakia (e.g. on charging illegal fees to students, introduction of academic ethics, corruption risks related to accreditation) and worked in HE and human resources consultancy at national and international level (e.g. the introduction of the student loan scheme in Bulgaria). Through her work in the non-governmental sector, Renáta became a recognized expert, and in 2009 she was the most cited expert on education in Slovakia. She has worked in an advisory capacity for the chairman of the Education Committee of the Slovak Parliament (2006 - 2009). From 2004 till 2006, she worked at the Slovak Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family, where she started as an analyst and advisor to the State Secretary in HE and human resources. For this ministry she subsequently managed a World Bank Loan, aiming to enhance HR capacity in the labour and education sectors. Before starting her professional career, she worked for 6 years as a student representative, both at the Comenius University and at national level. Renáta is project manager for the "Learning Makes Sense" project at MESA10, and analyst specializing in the field of higher education and research conducted at higher education institutions.

IVANA MOLNÁROVÁ


CEO, Profesia

 

Ivana graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at the Comenius University in Bratislava. Her first and current employer is Profesia.sk, an online job search portal. She started working as an agent and has been the CEO since 2010. During her office, the portal was bought from the British DMGT media group by the Finnish competitor Alma Media in 2012. She’s the chair of the administration board of OSF. Ivana enjoys running and she has run several half-marathons. She’s got two children.

Marnick started his career on the agency side of things to evangelize the world of internal communications and employer branding. Andrej is the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Poštová banka. He’s worked in the banking and financial sector for nearly 20 years. He launched his career in the field of mutual funds at J&T Asset Management, správcovská spol., a.s., where he was involved in funds management. In 2006 he started to work for J&T Banka, a.s., branch of a foreign bank. As a private banker and later director of Private banking, he developed it from scratch. In April 2011 Andrej became a member of the board of J&T Banka, a.s. in the Czech Republic and at the same time he managed the Commercial Division for Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Since 2009 he managed the Commercial Division in the Slovak branch of J&T Banka and he was in charge of the bank’s overall business strategy and marketing in the Slovak market. In November 2012 he became manager of the organizational unit of J&T Banka in Slovakia and stayed in office for 3 years. Since August 2015 he’s been the Chair of the Board of Directors at Poštová banka, one of the five biggest banks in our market, counting over 1,500 sales points, which makes it the best available bank in Slovakia. Andrej’s leisure activities include arts and culture. He likes theatre, ballet, and the philharmonics. He also likes hiking and spending time with his family.

Ján graduated from Culture and Tourism Management at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra and later continued to study Marketing Communications at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, where was graduate as PhD. Ján stayed for several years as a lecturer of English Media Relation and Public Relation. He started to work in the hotel industry during his study and has never left the industry. He actuated several unique projects, such as the reconstruction of Elizabeth Hotel in Trenčín, the legendary swimming pool Zelená žaba in Trenčianske Teplice and one of the latest, projects Grandhotel Tatra Velké Karlovice. During the hotel practice, he received several awards, the Hotelier of the Year, World Luxury Award, Europe's Best Historic City Hotel, Best Historic Hotel with Customer Service in Europe, and Historic Hotels of Europe Awards. Within the Synot group, he is responsible for entertainment, leisure, and media. He is also responsible for newly prepared projects in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
