TITLE: Agility is not a new Hollywood diet 

  • We should not view agility as a fleeting fashion trend.
  • It will not fall into oblivion, contrary to other „fads“ of the past.
  • If you want to implement agility, be sure to consider first what you want to achieve.
  • Almost no investment is required to implement agility. What is needed is consistency, discipline, perserverance and commitment to talk openly about anything.
  • Wrongly understood and implemented agility will end up like most New Year resolutions to regularly exercise and loose weight.
  • As with any change, using your own means to do it has the greatest chance of success. Cooperation with an experienced change management professional increases the odds of success.

Collins English dictionary is defining trust - as being honest, sincere and deliberately not doing anything wrong. The most critical factor in the success of organizations is - how leaders use trust, power and how they manage their authority!. Really great leaders use trust - to empower, to initiate collaboration and to inspire others.
Trust leads to loyalty, consequently loyalty inspires people doing their best - to deliver the most for you and the company. To earn trust and respect - one have to give trust, respect and to really take care about people. And if you do so – there are no limits!

Teams, departments and organisations all have cultures that work 24 hours a day to structure behaviour and identity. However, we often get culture wrong when we think about organisational culture, we simplify what culture is and how it works into a set of neatly contained units. The reality is that culture is complex and subtle and thrives to maintain boundaries that both preserve common values and difference. 
  • This talk will make the point that we need to drastically rethink how we understand organisational culture in order to a) identify negative silo based behaviour and b) enable collaboration across departments to enhance innovation and customer centricity. Achieving these two points delivers culture change with value.

  • Many of us would wish to work in an environment fully capitalising on the potential and humanity of each and every one of us. However, the fact is that in our organisations we have to meet high targets set by investors, ensure operational safety or quality. These targets often press us into the need to put people into boxes and processes. And moreover, often, despite our effort, our colleagues have given up in many respects, or have less than ideal trust in their colleagues or in the organisation. In this talk, we will look at the example of an organisation that tries to strike a balance between meeting targets and supporting the inner motivation of people in the organisation.
