  • Block I | AGILITY

Agility is the ability of the organization - to renew itself, adapt, change quickly and succeed in a rapidly changing, ambiguous, turbulent environment. Being agile - it is about being fast, break silos and use common sense. Keeping on moving faster and simpler - with the impact! Hierarchy is the enemy of agility and need to be replaced by trust!

09:00 – 09:40

Natal DANK  Co-founder, Agile HR Community and Southern Blue Consulting

TITLE: Agile HR - Reinventing Human Resources for the future of work

  • As a result of our rapidly changing business world and the need to support Agile organisational transformation, the HR profession are currently in catch-up mode. Not only do we need to quickly understand what Agile means in order to guide wider business transformation, but also begin to apply the mindset ourselves to modernise and innovate our own ways of working.

Agile HR is an exciting new topic, but it can be intimidating at first and hard to contextualise. Natal will help you understand what Agile is, explore why organisations across the world are ‘going Agile’ and how HR can apply the mindset and tools to reinvent our people practices.

  • How to infuse the agile into the corporate environment (also in operation and transactional work)?
  • Where to start, key elements & outcomes?
  • What did I learn and observe along the journey?

Coffee break

10:50 – 11:30

Peter BENKOVIČ Founder and Partner, Maxman Consultants

TITLE: Agility is not a new Hollywood diet

  • We should not view agility as a fleeting fashion trend.
  • It will not fall into oblivion, contrary to other „fads“ of the past.
  • If you want to implement agility, be sure to consider first what you want to achieve.
  • Almost no investment is required to implement agility. What is needed is consistency, discipline, perserverance and commitment to talk openly about anything.
  • Wrongly understood and implemented agility will end up like most New Year resolutions to regularly exercise and loose weight.
  • As with any change, using your own means to do it has the greatest chance of success. Cooperation with an experienced change management professional increases the odds of success.

  • Block II | TRUST

Collins English dictionary is defining trust - as being honest, sincere and deliberately not doing anything wrong. The most critical factor in the success of organizations is - how leaders use trust, power and how they manage their authority!. Really great leaders use trust - to empower, to initiate collaboration and to inspire others.
Trust leads to loyalty, consequently loyalty inspires people doing their best - to deliver the most for you and the company. To earn trust and respect - one have to give trust, respect and to really take care about people. And if you do so – there are no limits!

  • Block III | CULTURE

Culture is the engine of each organization ! It is impacting the way how we live our lives, the values we hold, the relationships we form and the decisions we make. Culture might be complex, messy, unpredictable, irrational… In order to invent new creative possibilities, we need to embrace complexity of each culture.
John Curran from UK will explore it with us using some very interesting examples. As one of the pioneers of business anthropology, he is specialized in making organizations highly productive and people centric in order to achieve growth.

John CURRAN │ CEO, Founder JC & Associates

TITLE: The Culture Trap: Why decoding culture is key to developing dynamic teams.

  • To develop teams and organisations that are innovative, collaborative and agile we first need to understand what culture is and how it works.
  • We are social animals and what shapes our behaviour and ways of thinking is culture. Teams, departments and organisations all have cultures that work 24 hours a day to structure behaviour and identity. However, we often get culture wrong when we think about organisational culture, we simplify what culture is and how it works into a set of neatly contained units. The reality is that culture is complex and subtle and thrives to maintain boundaries that both preserve common values and difference.
  • This talk will make the point that we need to drastically rethink how we understand organisational culture in order to a) identify negative silo based behaviour and b) enable collaboration across departments to enhance innovation and customer centricity. Achieving these two points delivers culture change with value.

  • Why we get culture wrong?
  • How culture works?
  • Why it is important?
  • Ways of decoding culture for leaders and teams
  • Achieving culture change through collaboration

Branislav KLESKEŇ │ Director, LEAF

TITLE: Developing a culture based on inner motivation, trust and initiative.

  • Many of us would wish to work in an environment fully capitalising on the potential and humanity of each and every one of us. However, the fact is that in our organisations we have to meet high targets set by investors, ensure operational safety or quality. These targets often press us into the need to put people into boxes and processes. And moreover, often, despite our effort, our colleagues have given up in many respects, or have less than ideal trust in their colleagues or in the organisation. In this talk, we will look at the example of an organisation that tries to strike a balance between meeting targets and supporting the inner motivation of people in the organisation.

Tatiana ONDREJKOVÁ│ CEO, pelikan.sk

TITLE: The infinite game or my managerial challenges of the 21st century

  • To manage a business and people in this extremely dynamic age is like playing a strategy game that has no end and no rules either that would apply throughout the game.
  • How to get to terms with such reality?
